What's Included?

On this 2 hour guided walking tour you will learn all about the influential and inspiring women in Denver history. From Chipeta (the only woman ever allowed to sit on a Ute tribal council) to the unsinkable Molly Brown, to our present-day heroine and preservationist Dana Crawford; you will hear stories of the unbelievable feats and challenges that women of Denver overcame and their impacts on the Denver community.

Calling all wine lovers! Choose the drink add on package and indulge in a delicious wine flight paired with handcrafted chocolates at the end of the tour. Meet the owners of Blanchard Family Wines as they introduce you to their family run operation. End the tour with some great wine and some great conversation. *Please allow 30 extra minutes if you choose this option.

What to Expect?

You will meet your experience creator (aka local guide) at the big blue bear in front of the Colorado Convention Center. After a brief introduction, we dive into the histories and stories of the women who had an everlasting impact on Denver. You will walk about 1.5 miles throughout downtown. Along the way, you will visit major landmarks and become captivated as we weave in stories of our past to showcase how these inspiring women changed the very fabric of the Mile High City.

You will end the tour in the Dairy Block, the newest development in lower downtown. Stick around for 30 minutes after the tour for some great conversation and interesting discussions while sipping on a wine flight paired with Colorado handcrafted chocolates.

+ What is a Maven?

From the 1860's to the present day, you will learn all about the insipring women who helped shape this city.

+ Is this tour only for women?

No, not at all! This tour is for everyone who would like learn more about the history of Denver. All genders, races, and people of different backgrounds shaped Denver into the city it is today. We encourage everyone to join.

+ Where does the tour start/end?

Start: Big Blue Bear outside the Colorado Convention Center End: Dairy Block

+ Where do I park?

There are many public parking lots and parking garages downtown. We encourage people to take uber/lyft, public transportation or bike downtown. We also like the parking app "Spot Hero." You can find some great parking deals.

+ Do you provide transportation on the tour?

At this time all of our tours are walking tours. The majority of the tours are about 1 mile in length with stops along with way.

+ How big are your tour groups?

Our tours are small groups with 15 guests maximum per tour. *Please note a minimum of 2 guests are required per tour.

+ Are tour guide gratuities included in the price?

We are often asked — is it appropriate to tip our guide at the end of the tour and what a reasonable amount might be? While we have considered including such gratuities in the overall ticket price, we always come back to the belief that recognizing excellent service is a personal matter. Gratuities are welcomed and appreciated which typically range between 15-20%.

+ Do you allow children?

Children are more than welcome on our walking tours. Please see price listing for different age groups. It's a fun experience for the whole family.

+ Are the walking tours still held in bad weather?

Rain, snow, or shine our tours take place everyday of the week. Good thing Denver experiences over 300 days of sunshine. Just be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately.

+ I am a Local, should I take the tour?

Absolutely! Denver is a rapidly growing city where new things pop up everyday. We love to be a tourist in our own town and so should you!
